About LTSU: Trevor Pull

Trevor Pull Trevor started working at NTU in 1992 when he joined the Business School as an audio visual technician.  In April 1993 he moved to the Language Resource Centre in the Nottingham Language Centre and his role within the faculty/school has evolved over the intervening years to that of manager of the Learning and Teaching Support Team.  As Faculty IT Coordinator he chaired the Faculty IT Advisory Group and represented the faculty on the NTU IT Forum and the NTU eLearning Advisory Board.  Trevor is currently a member of the VLE consultative Group and is heavily involved in the VLE Replacement Project.

Previously, Trevor worked for six years as an AV technician in the Department of Modern Languages, South Thames College where he completed the C&G Audio Visual Advanced Technician’s Certificate.  He is currently enrolled on the MSc in Multimedia and Elearning programme at Huddersfield University which he hopes to complete in October 2008.

Trevor’s main areas of interest in learning and teaching are the use of multimedia, skills development, online assessment and issues of plagiarism and academic integrity.  He has contributed to the delivery of various modules including IT, History, Journalism, Research Practice and the PGCHE as well as leading many staff development sessions both within the school and through the Centre for Academic Practice.  Trevor worked with Jane McNeil to introduce extra curricula sessions for student support in the use of IT culminating in the provision of IT skills training and qualification through the test centre for the European Computer Driving Licence.

Trevor has built strong links with central units over the years including the VLP Development Team, The Educational Development Unit, the L&T coordinators network within CASQ and Libraries and Learning Resources.
